Founded in Dublin Ireland in 1980, we are a volunteer-based charity. Our services include a home visitation program, a Nationwide friendly call service by phone, social and educational clubs, a hamper program to those in need financially and a Nationwide birthday project providing cards, gifts and hampers with practical items.

We are all faiths and none, and believe in the unique worth of every person. We advocate for mutual respect and dignity for all and promote individual choice and independent living. We celebrate positive aging. We run an intergenerational program and work with many local and overseas students. Our referrals come from GPs and health care professionals as well as concerned family members, self referral is also an option.

We are governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, have a small staff team and rely on our 250 + volunteers to achieve our mission and goals. We have 560 members in our social club, we deliver 2400 hampers per year, this year we aim to make/take 50,000 calls to and from older people, across Ireland. Due to Covid 19 our visitation program is at reduced capacity however we have radically altered the work we are doing to respond to service need. We are 40 years old this year and we hope to celebrate next year when it is safe to do so.
