Rise Against Hunger

Established in 1998, Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief non-profit providing food and life-changing aid to vulnerable children and families around the world. Rise Against Hunger’s mission is to end hunger by 2030, in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2.

Committed to nourishing lives, providing emergency aid, empowering communities and growing the hunger movement, Rise Against Hunger has 28 U.S. locations and five international offices. Since the development of its meal packaging program in 2005, the organization has facilitated the volunteer packaging of over 500 million meals. This streamlined program combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and vitamins into highly nutritious meals that are shipped to countries around the globe and distributed by in-country partners to beneficiaries in critical need.

Rise Against Hunger is driven by the vision of a world without hunger. The COVID-19 pandemic is expected to double the number of people facing hunger and take a toll on the economy and health of already at-risk populations, making the organization’s work to reach the world's most vulnerable even more crucial in this time of crisis.
